It all starts with change. Every time two atoms fuse together to form a single nucleus, photons are released. What we know as light.
A star is a luminous sphere, only held together by its own gravity. The warmer the core, the brighter it burns. In silence, deep in the darkness of space, it creates its own illumination and slingshots the light in every direction. As a beacon of hope. As a gesture of faith. As a signal of life.
Far away, yet so close, another star. They entangle into each others magnetic fields. Like a dance of physics; predictable in their patterns, awe-inspiring in their display. As they fuse together to a neutron star, they’re heated to millions of degrees, generating a brilliant flare across the universe.
4,5 billion years later, the stars have changed their shapes. The same carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen has travelled the vast space and formed into Karoline and Eirik. Made of stars. Entangling like stars. Fusing like stars.
The closest I get to an elementary particle way of saying love.
Karoline & Eirik got married at the beautiful Bønsnes Kirke, and the reception was a the Kleivstua hotel here in Norway. It was such a wonderful experience to travel from Oslo to photograph their wedding, and I’m so thankful for having been their photographer.
